A reviewable acquisition account

AstroSession Sheet turns a selection of retained light-frame headers into acquisition rows. It is useful after you have decided which exposures contributed to an image. It does not inspect pixels, rank frames or replace your integration log.

Walk through a complete reconciliation: captured versus retained counts, pixel rejection, a midnight boundary, mixed durations and source-frame provenance.

  1. Select only the files you intend to count. Known non-light frame types are excluded automatically. Missing frame types require your explicit confirmation.
  2. Review the date, filter and exposure in every retained row. Correct individual values or change the FITS keyword mapping.
  3. Map each source filter to your AstroBin equipment ID, or explicitly omit that optional field. No filter catalogue is bundled.
  4. Review exclusions, then download both the CSV and the JSON audit. Check AstroBin's imported acquisition rows before saving them.

Practice with the synthetic selection

Choose Load synthetic example in the sheet. Two Ha light frames contribute 300 seconds each. An OIII light frame has a missing date and needs a correction or exclusion. A dark frame starts excluded. To try an export without real equipment IDs, explicitly select Leave filter field blank for both filters. This creates blank optional fields, not a fictional equipment match.

For file-picker practice, download the individual synthetic fixtures: first Ha light, second Ha light, OIII light with missing date and dark frame. Each has a 1 x 1 pixel array. These are format demonstrations, not real observations.

Format references and verification dates are recorded on the sources page. Read the privacy policy before sharing an audit.
